Carola Keitel
Carola Keitel works with various techniques and materials. Her artistic work focusses on the bannister. She for instance places fascimile of solid metal bannisters in the centre of a room and thereby raises our awareness of objects, which we only marginally perceive in everyday life. These frames, which seem odd in an exhibition context, transform the space: it is turned into something special, into an experience in itself. Corla Keitel lives and works in Cologne. She studied Art and Philosophy in Kassel. 2013 she received the Daniel Frese Price for contemporary art.
Sutter / Schramm
Enrico Sutter and Daniel Schramm founded Sutter/Schramm in 2007 and have since then been realizing several ritual-like, energetic performances in which one reacts upon the action of the other, repeats and interprets it. A movement, a gesture or form is being repeated in an infinite loop, as long as it can be assigned an inherent meaning and sensuality. In this manner, they explore physical states and test the limits of physical exertion.
Both studied Fine Arts at the HfBK Dresden with Prof. Kerbach and Prof. Sery. The also create sculptural works. Both live and wirk in Dresden.
